I wonder what would happen if the object was just a little bit too big and wouldn't fit in his mouth....could the cobra choke himself?

Snakes have actually been known to choke them selfs on prey that is too large, if it gets stuck. Their mouth works best swallowing, not spitting. 15:07, 2007-Jan-22

Actually its pretty easy for a snake to regurgitate their food if it is too big. Not only do I have a python and watched him do it but I have also see a video of an anaconda doing it with a hippo 15:33, 2007-Jan-22

Snakes Choking
Believe it or not snakes have a windpipe that actually pushes up and outside its mouth when it is attempting to swallow large prey.
The snake is able to continue swallowing its prey while breathing normally.
The oddity of this picture is that the snake is swallowing its prey feet first, when 99% of snakes swallow all prey head first.
Snakes typically do not choke on prey, but can get stuck if the end up trying to swallow something too large...they have two rows of teeth all curved inward down towards their throat. The inner set actually "walks" up on the prey pulling it into the snakes throat.

Clearly a toad
Dude, that is clearly a toad, not a frog. And it isn't a cobra.
Especially if the photos where taken in North America. Plus, toads (surprisingly) are also poisonous verses the venomous snake (presumably). The toads have two glands (Little grove like bumps) on each side at the back of their heads. called the parotoid glands, they ooze out a poison when threatened. So, the snake won't be having such a great meal, but probably isn't strong enough to cause any damage. Moral of the story- Don't go putting animal names in a title without double checking their classification first! 01:40, 2007-Jan-23
